How to Shop for Leopard Print This Fall 🐆

Hello folks,

I'm here to talk about one of the most polarizing questions plaguing our nation—What REALLY is the difference between leopard print and cheetah print?

It's good to be back to blogging, y'all. We haven't checked in with each other since the election, and I hope you are all taking good care of yourselves. If you find yourself needing support or resources, please click here.

Okay, back to our question. Leopard print has been predicted as a major trend for this fall & winter. However, when I look up leopard-printed goods, I find myself thinking. "is this not just cheetah print?!"

A quick Google search will leave you feeling more confused than ever... What I thought was cheetah is leopard and what I thought was leopard is cheetah??!! I say, let's forget the particulars and just have fun with this trend...

How to Wear Incorporate Print Into Your Wardrobe

So, here's the thing with trends. They always fade! With fall here and winter right around the corner, I would love to buy a big leopard coat, leopard print jeans, or even sneakers! However, I know this is not sustainable for my wardrobe. Personally, I don't enjoy buying big-ticket items for the sake of being "on-trend." I prefer to buy accessories, make something, thrift the trend, or even not participate in it at all. (Is this my Catholic guilt? Perhaps!)

Here are a few easily packable or affordable pieces that will allow you to partake in this season's animal print craze.

This bag from Pull & Bear is CUTEEE! The cargo packets are a nice touch, making this bag look almost like a vest. Printed bags are great at leveling up even a basic outfit of a t-shirt and jeans. | Pull & Bear, $39.90

I've been known to sport a beret from time to time, and you know what? Sue me! I most likely will be purchasing one of these cute hats for myself, so if you want to twin, let me know! 🤭 I've been trying to decrease my Amazon usage lately, but my fellow stylists know how tough that one is! | Amazon, $14.99

How classic and easy is a scrunchie? Though a bit pricey, this one from Ganni is a beautiful purchase if you want to invest in a little gift for yourself. | Ganni, $30

This super sweet "gilet" from Damson Madder is finally on sale! You can pair it will a simple white button-up and wide leg jeans like the product photos, or go crazy with a fun hot pink and red, stripes, and fun silhouettes. | Damson Madder, $56 (sale price)

Definitely NOT affordable, but have you ever tried cashmere socks?? It's a heaven on earth experience! This brushed pair from J. Crew is adorable. If y'all find a cheaper pair, let me know. 👀 | J. Crew, $54.50 (sale price)

On the topic of hosiery, these tights from Free People are such a fun purchase for the holiday—pair with a simple black dress and boots. Tights are going to be THE accessory for this winter! Snag a pair for yourself (though not literally) at your leisure. | Free People, $32

Finally, I thought we'd end with a simple, fuzzy leopard print scarf. This little number is from Cotton On, and is the cheapest item on our list! It's too easy to throw this on with a puffer jacket or another winter outfit. | Cotton On, $9.99.

What do we think y'all? Who knew leopard print (cheetah?) could be so versatile. 🐾

That's all for now.
